In the Nigeria Army #NAS is responsible for the provision of communication support for effective command and control, provision of electronic warfare (EW) support, liaison with civil communication authority for provision of communication and management of #NA Frequency Spectrum.

On the patch, they have a touch of Greek mythology on it with reference to the human figure. That is Hermes, which in Greek mythology is the "Messenger of the gods"
