HOW TO YOUR FIND YOUR IPHONE USING GOOGLE’S MY ACCOUNT

Google launched My Account, a hub that gives you quick access to controls for safeguarding your data and protecting your privacy on Google, last year. The application puts privacy and security tools in one place, including long-standing features like Ads Settings and newer ones like the Privacy and Security Checkups.

All these tools make it easy for you to control your privacy and security from any device. Yesterday makes it exactly one year the app was launched, and while the celebrations were ongoing (I bet there was a lavish party with loads of champagne), some features were also added to the app – three features in fact – to make access to your controls and data protection easy.

Top on the list of features is Find your phone, which will help you locate your phone if it was lost or stolen. In a few simple steps, you can not only locate your phone, but also lock and call it, secure your account, leave a callback number on the screen, and more.

The feature can be used to find lost Android and iOS devices, and soon, you’ll also be able to access it by searching Google for “I lost my phone.” My Account now has a voice feature, making it easier for you to get to My Account just by using your voice.

To use this feature, just say, “Ok Google, show me my Google account,” and you’ll be taken right there, like magic. English is the only supported language at the moment. Other languages will be added soon. Soon, users will be able to easily find My Account by simply searching Google. That is, you’ll be able to simply search for your own name, and if you’re signed in, you’ll see a shortcut to My Account.

“When you entrust your data to Google, you should expect powerful security and privacy controls. These features are just the latest in our ongoing efforts to protect you and your personal information. We’ll continue to make updates based on your feedback,” Guemmy Kim, Product Manager, Account Controls and Settings, stated on Google’s official blog.

Although launched just a year ago, My Account is currently being used by more than one billion people around the world. If you’re not part of that figure, you can start using the app today. It might be a life-saver…you never know!
