WhatsApp Rolls Out its Sticker Maker App in Three Countries

WhatsApp rolled out its 'Sticker Maker' app for users in three countries on Tuesday so that they can start creating their own custom animated stickers.

"You can start using the Sticker Maker app to create your own custom animated iOS and Android WhatsApp stickers in Brazil, India, and Indonesia," said the WABetaInfo website, which keeps a close eye on the messaging service.

If the app roll out is successful, it is expected to be unveiled in other countries as well.

Apps like Sticker Maker allow users to create WhatsApp stickers using external apps.

Users just need to download the app to create a sticker pack by selecting a video or GIF from their camera roll. Once added, the app will automatically convert it to a webp file that can be imported into WhatsApp.

Earlier, WABetaInfo reported that after months of delays, WhatsApp finally enables the "possibility to import custom animated sticker packs into the app."

"The team is currently putting in place a feature for users in Brazil, India and Indonesia and compatible versions," said the website.
