The Samsung Galaxy On8 (2018) has been finally launched on Wednesday after being teased and leaked for several days. The new smartphone is available with a lot of launch offers. Following the original Galaxy On8 that was launched in September 2016, the new model has a 6-inch Super AMOLED 'Infinity Display' panel and comes along a dual rear camera setup. The hand set is rumored to have an artificial intelligence (AI)-backed image enhancement features, which includes Live Focus and Background Blur Shape. It also has features such as Portrait Dolly and Portrait Backdrop to give a unique photography experience. The Galaxy On8 (2018) comes preloaded with Samsung's Chat Over Video feature which allows chatting while watching a video.
The smartphone is set at Rs. 16,990 including India. It will exclusively be available for purchase through Flipkart and Samsung's online store starting August 6. Launch offers include, no-cost EMI options as well as special data schemes. It comes in Black and Blue colours.
The launch of the Galaxy On8 (2018) comes after Samsung slashed the price of the Galaxy J7 Duo which was launched in April at Rs. 16,990 and is now available at Rs. 13,990 - creating the space for the new model.

Dual-SIM (Nano) the smartphone runs Android 8.0 Oreo and comes with Samsung Experience UX on top. It features a 6-inch HD+ (720x1480 pixels) Super AMOLED Infinity Display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone's processor is the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC, coupled with 4GB of RAM. The dual rear camera setup of the smartphone has a 16-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.7 aperture and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/1.9 aperture. It also sports an LED flash. Plus, Samsung added its Background Blur Shape, Portrait Dolly, and Portrait Backdrop features. The Portrait Dolly feature enables moving GIF images with zoom movements in the background to create a cinematic experience,and the Portrait Backdrop feature enables users add some preset background effects, while the Background Blur Shape puts a soft light effect in different contextual shapes make pictures talk. There is a 16-megapixel sensor available at the front along with an f/1.9 aperture for selfies.the phone also has 64GB of onboard storage which is expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB). For connectivity, the smartphone has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. And finally has a 3500mAh battery
