As we know, the well know social media Facebook only introduced its suite of Windows 10 applications way back in April 2016, with Messenger and Facebook applications showing up for smartphones in June and August of 2016, respectively. Also on the other hand Instagram was the last of the them to become fully universal worldwide, then coming to Windows 10 tablets and PCs just a few days ago - which was indeed a big win for Windows, given that there is still no Instagram application for iPads as the case may be.

However, the Facebook and Messenger applications now require a minimum RAM (Random Access Memory) requirement in the Windows Store, stating that 2 Gigabyte (2GB) is necessary before you can download the above listed applications.

Also having in mind that there are quite a few things wrong with this picture as shown above. For one thing, despite the window Store clearly saying that 2GB is the minimum before you can download teh application, well there is no problems at all with installing and running the app on devices with 1GB of RAM. Of course, unless you are a truly an old school Insider about the affairs of the application, you probably do not have a Windows 10 Mobile device with 512MB of RAM, right.

You'll also notice that the screenshot show that the device has less than 2GB of RAM, but the plot twist here is that it were taken with a Lumia 950, which has 3GB of RAM. The architecture is off as well, at least for the Facebook app. That app is a UWA, meaning that it's been compiled for x86, x64, and ARM.

In case you were wondering, Instagram still doesn't show a minimum requirement for RAM. Of course, the minimum requirement for Facebook and Messenger don't seem to have actually affected anyone just yet.
