Fossil Q Watch face Design Contest 2016

Fossil the prominent manufacturer of smartwatches has been showing signs that lately to the general public on how they are working very hard inorder to win the smartwatch market worldwide, which is indeed a huge step considering the fact that smartwatches are not doing well unlike the smartphone as we all know. That is a more reason why Fossil wants to increasingly maximize  user investment by putting the design tools in your capable hands.

As this post contains, the Fossil Q Watch Design Contest is now officially on. Fossil has set up a design system on their website that lets you start with the basic building blocks of some of their products which includes: Q Wander, Marshal, or Founder. From there, you can download the template of any Fossil product from which they listed and then work your artistic mastery and techniques on the tiny circular canvas that they have provide for you.

As soon as you are done with your piece, you can then submit your design to Fossil, and a panel of judges will then review all the submissions to pick out the top (5) five best designs. After the panel of judges cast their votes, users will then vote on the winning face.

Procedures For The Fossil Q Watch face Design Contest 2016:

• First of all, you have to visit the Q Design Contest landing page and download one of the three templates that Fossil has provided. You can either print the template and paint/sketch on it (but if you do that, you will need to scan it later in order to send it back to Fossil), or make this a digital project using your favorite design application or software such as Coreldraw, Photoshop etc.

• Secondly, you will need to submit your design on or before October 19 2016 and you will also tell them a little bit about the inspiration behind the design which you did. it is at this level that the panel of judges will pick the top (5) five best designs that contestants has submitted, and after that is done, it will now be up to voters to decide on the winner. 

• Thirdly, the good thing about The Fossil Q Watch face Design Contest 2016 is that, Fossil will also reward (10) ten voting fans with a Fossil Q Touchscreen Smartwatch while the winning designer for The Fossil Q Watch face Design Contest 2016 will also receive a grand prize of $2,000, a smartwatch and their design will be available to wear by next year.

Well, as for me $2,000 is a mouth watering offer for such a contest. Nevertheless, on the Fossil site submissions are already coming in, and Fossil on the other hand is also showcasing some of the top designs on the contest’s promo page.
